If you're a busy mom trying to find more time for healthy meals, workouts, and family life, you're not alone.
Let’s talk about Time…
Or rather, how we never have enough of it.
Between packing lunches, juggling carpools, endless sports schedules, and trying to remember the last time you had five minutes alone—time feels like a luxury most moms can’t afford.
But here's the truth: time isn’t always something you find. Sometimes, you have to create it. And inside my Fit Mom Method, we don’t accept “I’m too busy” as the end of the story—we treat it like a problem we can solve.
So today, I’m opening up my Fit Mom Toolbox and giving you 5 simple strategies to create more time in your day—without sacrificing your goals, your health, or your sanity.
This post is for informational purposes only and is not medical advice. Always consult with your healthcare provider before starting new health routines.
Time Saving Grocery Shopping Tips for Busy Moms

Let me tell you one of my favorite Fit Mom hacks: order your groceries online and schedule them to arrive when you need them most. Seriously—this is such a game-changer.
I use apps like Shipt and Instacart, and even the supermarket of choice website all the time, especially when we’re:
Ordering groceries online takes about 15 minutes—less time than wandering aimlessly through the store, only to get home and realize you forgot the eggs (again!)... Instead, you’re getting the healthy foods you need to stick to your plan—delivered straight to your doorstep.
💡 Toolbox Tip: Create a “Weekly Staples” grocery list in your delivery app with your go-to lean proteins, veggies, fruits, and quick-prep carbs. You’ll save even more time by reordering from that same list each week.
Time Saving Batch Cooking Tips for Busy Moms

If you’re cooking one meal at a time, mama, we need to talk!
One of my favorite time-saving Fit Mom Toolbox tools is batch cooking.
When you make meals that stretch across 3 or 4 days, you instantly give yourself hours back.
Here’s what I do:
💡 Toolbox Tip: Keep pre-cooked frozen chicken breasts in your freezer as an emergency backup. Toss them in the oven while you return a few emails or help your kiddo with homework, and you’ll have a lean meal in 20 minutes.
Simple Weekly Planning Tips for Busy Moms

Trying to plan seven days of meals and workouts all at once? That’s overwhelming for anyone.
Instead, I teach my Fit Mom Method clients to plan their week in two parts:
Sunday–Wednesday
Thursday–Saturday
It’s easier. It’s more flexible. And it allows for real-life pivots—because let’s be honest, life always throws something unexpected at us.
We also do “Sunday Suppers” at my house. It’s not just about the food—it’s our time to slow down, reconnect, and reset before the week ahead. We’ll invite grandparents over, hang out by the pool, and review the calendar for the upcoming school and sports chaos. It’s family time and Fit Mom time.
💡 Toolbox Tip: Print or write out your meal plan and tape it to the fridge. When your family sees what’s planned, they’re more likely to get on board and help out (or at least stop asking “What’s for dinner?”).
Time Saving Workout Planning for Busy Moms

This one’s simple but powerful: schedule your workouts like appointments.
At my gym, I use an app to pre-register for classes. That means I:
Even if you don’t go to a gym, this concept still works. Reserve 30–45 minutes in your day just like you would a doctor’s appointment or a meeting at work. No one needs to “approve” your workout time except you—and you deserve it.
💡 Toolbox Tip: Use a dry-erase calendar or your Google calendar to block off time for movement. Resistance training, walking, a Fit Mom Method workout—it counts if it gets done.
Healthy Emergency Meals That Save Time

Sometimes, even the best plans fall apart.
Your meeting runs late.
Practice goes long. Dinner? Nowhere in sight.
That’s where emergency meals come in.
These are your no-thinking-required, still-on-track options when the day gets sideways.
Here are a few of my faves from the Fit Mom Toolbox:
💡 Toolbox Tip: Write down 3–5 emergency meals or restaurants you trust and keep it handy. That way, when the night gets away from you, you don’t have to think—you just pivot and stay on track.
Simple Time Saving Habits Every Busy Mom Can Use
Let’s be real: No one feels like they have extra time. Not you. Not me. Not the mom next door.
But the difference between staying stuck and moving forward is this: you learn to create time by using your tools wisely.
You’re not failing because you’re busy—you’re just missing a few of the shortcuts that could set you free.
Inside my Fit Mom Method, I help moms like you:
Set up a real routine that fits your life
Get organized without getting overwhelmed
Use food, fitness, and mindset tools to simplify, not complicate
